Consortium

The results of the joint project are developed jointly by the consortium partners. The Machine Tool Laboratory (WZL) of the RWTH Aachen University is consortium leader of the project and is mainly responsible for the conceptual design of the software architecture, the development of an agile integration methodology and, in cooperation, the creation of an overall concept for the automation of vehicle logistics. On the research side, the WZL and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology are involved and focus on the development of the dynamic control system and the associated system architecture.

On the industrial side, the consortium also consists of automobile manufacturers and enablers: Porsche AG, ipolog GmbH, Siemens AG, ELABO GmbH, BÄR Automation GmbH, Pilz GmbH & Co. KG. The automobile manufacturers contribute their requirements for future assembly systems, process information and application examples to the project. The enablers are involved in the practical development of the infrastructure and software components.
